We work with 58 nonprofit and school-based partner programs to make a big difference in Kennebec County. We believe that we can accomplish greater things together, and United Way has
evolved from its roots as a fundraising organization to become a critical community convener. We mobilize local partners, businesses, community leaders, public officials, and residents to
expand opportunities available in our area to help people succeed. Our priority areas are Health, Education and Financial Stability. In 2022, more than 32,000 local people received
assistance from a United Way program. One out of every four local people were directly supported by United Way.
Our goal is to create long-lasting change in our communities by addressing the underlying causes of the challenges we face in our region. It takes everyone in the community to step up
and LIVE UNITED, creating a brighter future for Kennebec County.
