FEATURED VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNTIES

United Way has several opportunities for individuals or groups to become involved. Below are some featured opportunities that need your help!

Meals on Wheels Drivers (Augusta)

Spectrum Generations’ Cohen Community Center is in need of Substitute Meals on Wheels Drivers. Delivery days are Wednesdays and Fridays. Routes vary. The Substitute Driver would pick up meals and deliver to local homebound older adults, when normal route Driver is unable to drive that day.

Family Mentor Team Volunteer

Family Mentor Teams are a great way to get involved in Capital Area New Mainers Project. Each new refugee family who arrives in the capital area may choose to work with a Family Mentor Team. Each team is composed of 3-4 local families who volunteer to provide logistical, social, and educational support to help the New Mainers adjust to life in the capital area.

If you have any questions, please call Chris.

Volunteer Drivers Needed

Kennebec Valley Community Action Program (KVCAP) Transportation Services is seeking volunteer drivers. Drivers receive generous mileage reimbursement and incentives. Help drive referred passengers to medical and social services appointments.
