Where You Can Help

If you look through our Partnering Agency List, you will find contact names, numbers, and web addresses for each agency.  Please feel free to browse any agency that you are interested in and give them a call.  Each agency is dependant on their volunteers to make things run as efficiently as possible.  With limited funding, most agencies need you to make their program the best it can be.

Thank you for your interest!  Your help is invaluable.

The LINC Club Garden
The LINC Club would like to thank United Way for your extremely generous assistance this year, everyone greatly appreciates the community support from United Way.

Also we wanted to show that the Club wants to continue to give something back to the community, aside from art. We have a larger garden this year which is better planned and will continue to supplement our member meals with it, and provide excess to the Augusta Food Bank as we did last year. While the garden is primarily a club activity and way to stretch some food dollars, we have started to ask members if there might be some economic opportunity for members who experience deep poverty. The double whammy of mental illness and poverty is particularly challenging to address, and with state resources so tight and the economy still struggling, we have looked at whether we might encourage several current members in recovery to pursue a small business e.g. producing deli pickles (this looks like something we might assist some members getting a home kitchen license for) as a way to move from poverty towards more economic independence and more self-confidence in their ability to manage their illness.

Again, the LINC Social Club members send their thanks.
